Klingstone is easy to install!

New bunkers: Cut, shape, smooth the bunker as desired and install drains and pea gravel.
Renovations: Remove old sand to 1/4″, pea gravel can stay. Ensure drains are clear.
- Scarify the base or spread a thin (1/4-1/2″) layer of sand over the surface. If the base is hard-packed clay that limits penetration, punching holes or slicing the surface will improve bonding to the sand layer.
- Saturate the soil/sand surface by evenly applying Klingstone at 20 sq ft per gallon. On very steep faces two light coats may be preferred. If the drainage system has exposed gravel, a very light application of Klingstone will help hold it in place.
- When possible, immediately apply a thin layer of bunker sand to cover the product and improve the overall appearance of the subsurface. All bunker sand may be put in place within a few hours after Klingstone has been applied. We do not recommend leaving the treated base exposed for an extended period. The layer of bunker sand provides protection from solar heating and the weight will counteract any pressure from water vapor trapped beneath the Klingstone-bonded layer.
